Four talented students of the Federal
University of Technology Owerri (FUTO)
have constructed a quadcopter
surveillance drone for their final year
project. The four geniuses reportedly
constructed the drone to conduct
surveillance of the university campus.
Ekeh Isidore, Kizito Onyema, Aloysius
Nwokedike and John Kennedy Kalu who
are engineering department students are
in their final year. The four students
constructed the drone with materials
they could find for the project.
It was gathered that the surveillance
drone was made with a wood
constructed controller and a First Person
View (FPV) system in other for the drone
pilot to see where it’s headed during
surveillance. The surveillance would be
recorded as a video footage of the
campus in real time.
The students took their impressive
creation for a spin and made a video of
the drone as it flew around the campus
recording everything.
