LAUGHTER

IT'S THE ECHO IN A HOUSE OF PRESSURE
ITS THE RIVER
IN THE DESERT OF WORRIES

WHEN IT COMES FROM THE HEART
IT BREAKS THROUGH THE VERY PROBLEMS

WE SEEM NOT TO UNDERSTAND
IT IS LIKE THE SMELL OF ROSE

IT IS RAINFALL AFTER SO MANY YEARS OF DRAUGHT
IT IS BEAUTIFUL WHEN THE TEARS DRY UP
AND THE EYES ARE WRINKLED SORE
LAUGHTER WOULDN'T MIND TO CRACK THE LIPS ONCE MORE

ONE DAY I'D LAUGH
THAT LAUGHTER THAT WOULDN'T BE HELD BACK
BECAUSE OF MOMENTARILY PRESSURES

THOUGH I WISH IT COULD BE NOW
BUT I CANNOT DECEIVE MYSELF
I MEAN THAT LAUGHTER
THE ONE THAT CAUSES YOU TO CRY
BECAUSE THE PAST BECOMES A DREAM
A DREAM GONE WITH THE NIGHT

I MAY MAKE DO WITH A SMILE NOW
BUT ONE DAY I'D LAUGH
SP MUCH MY VERY SOUL WOULD KNOW!!!!!

Man fo und guilty of 2nd-degree murder after he killed a woman by mistake instead of his estranged girlfriend

A man who killed a woman by mistake while wanting to kill his estranged girlfriend has been found guilty of second-degree murder in Canada.
The Court of Queen's Bench decision was handed down on Thursday in the deadly shooting of 30-year-old Nicole Leanne Cooney in Edmonton's Inglewood neighbourhood.
Prosecutor Aleisha Bartier told the court that Lenny Lavallee shot Nicole while intending to kill Theresa Butler, her friend, and his girlfriend.
According to him, during Lavallee and Butler’s three-month relationship, he often became jealous of other people in Butler’s life, and threatened to kill her and her dog on multiple occasions.
Before Cooney was shot, Butler was hiding from Lavallee at his mother’s house and trying to make plans to leave the city, Bartier said.
On the night of April 17, 2016, Butler went out to walk her dog and ran into Cooney, who joined her.
Butler, who testified during the trial, said she heard Lavallee shout at her, and when she turned, she saw him standing behind Cooney.
“She yelled at Nicole to run, but it was too late. Nicole was shot through the heart and the lung,” Bartier said.
As nearby residents rushed to help Cooney, Lavallee fled to an acquaintance’s nearby home and hid in the attic, remaining there for five hours while a police tactical unit tried to convince him to come out.
Bartier acknowledged she and fellow prosecutor Mark Van Manen’s case is circumstantial, but said the evidence taken all together makes it clear he took steps to carry out the shooting, only getting his intended victim wrong.
“The evidence of planning and deliberation is unavoidable,” Bartier said.
A woman who tried to help the victim at the scene testified in court and said she overheard a man say he had shot the wrong person.
"He came up to the front of the house, he was just looking," Shanlai Cook said. "He just said, 'I shot the wrong one.' "
A date for sentencing has yet to be set.

Baby born with 4 hands, 3 legs in Kaduna

Malama Hawwa’u Jamilu, 24, was earlier in the week delivered of twins in Kaduna.
However, one of them was born with four hands and three legs.
Speaking about the condition of her baby, Hawwa’u stated that she is not uncomfortable with her physique.
“Both of them are female. Of course, one would have loved to deliver the babies without any deformity”, she told Daily Trust.
“But since Allah in His infinite mercy had decided to create the twins like this, what can I do? This is why you see me relaxed, and I love them both.”
She said the only peculiar behaviour exhibited by the deformed twin is her appetite.
“Apart from that, she is normal like any other baby. I love my daughter and I know that she is human, despite her physical challenge.
“I think the problem is not failure to visit the hospital, because the twins are not my first. As I said earlier, it is just the will of Allah.
“I gave birth three times, and I have not experienced anything like this. This is the will of Allah and there is nothing one can do about it,” Hawwa’u added.
A doctor at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Dr. Umar Abdul’aziz, said the extra leg and hands can be removed and the little girl can have a normal life.
“There is nothing to worry about. It is a case that can be handled by experts after certain investigations”, he said.
“It is however advisable for all pregnant women to be attending ante-natal for their health and that of their unborn babies.
“Many things can be detected during ante-natal that would assist in safe delivery and correction of abnormalities.
“It is not proper at this period of the world’s development for somebody to decide to ignore ante-natal and be giving birth at home,” he noted.

Beautiful Burn Survivor Who Suffered A Terrible Accident In 2016 Shares Her Story

24-year old burn survivor, Julie took to Instagram to recount the heartbreaking experience of how she suffered a terrible accident in 2016 that left parts of her skin cooked.
She wrote:
“My Story: July 21st 2016 I was a server at a (hole-in-the-wall) nightclub. The food was served and prepared under a tent adjacent to the kitchen door of the club. On that particular night there was a crowd of customers around the tent.
Two of the customers got into a dispute and one pulled out a firearm and began shooting. Everyone turned to run and a propane fueled fryer was tripped over and the oil flew everywhere.
It clung to the back of my clothes and began to cook my skin. At this point I was now inside the nightclub waiting for the shooting to cease.
When I arrived at the hospital thirty minutes later they removed the clothes and said they would not be able to treat me there. I was given several bags of morphine and transferred to a Burn Center. I had suffered 3rd degree burns.
I spent 4 weeks in the hospital and undergone 4 surgical procedures. When I was released I had three months of physical therapy to regain full range of motion.
In that time I dealt with depression and insecurities. Getting over the idea that this was my new skin and my new battle was not the easiest pill to swallow.
I was 22 conceited and shallow so not having perfect skin seemed like I was paying for my sins. Took a lot of seclusion meditation prayer and self love to get to the woman I am today.
Now that chapter 24 is here I’m ready for the world! Never in a million years did I think this would be my truth and my purpose in life but I’m more than honored to be here inspiring people of all ages and all issues to love themselves and fight to live another day.

Updates: Wike proposes death sentence for kidnappers, cultists

The governor stated that this will
show that his government has zero
tolerance for crime and criminality
Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has
proposed death sentence for cultism and
kidnapping in Rivers state after the death
of notorious kidnapper and serial killer,
Prince Johnson Igwedibia popularly
known as Don Waney.
Recall that Don Waney was killed on
Saturday January 6 by officials of the
Department of State Security and the
police after he masterminded the killings
of 23 people in Omoku town, Rivers on
New Year day.
The governor, while reacting to the swift
way the authority swooped in on Don
Waney and his partners, said a death
sentence will go a long way to show that
the government frowns at any form of
criminality in the state, Premium Times
reports.
He said: “We reiterate our zero tolerance
for all forms of criminality and reassure
all residents of our determination to be
tough with those who choose to violate
our criminal laws and undermine peace
and security in the State.
“To underscore the seriousness we attach
to the fight against violent crime, we shall
be amending the Anti kidnapping law to
prescribe the maximum sentence for
engaging in cultism, robbery and
kidnapping."
The governor also alleged that the former
governor of the state, Rotimi Amaechi,
compromised the amnesty programme
put in place to curtail criminality in the
state.
He claimed that Amaechi prevailed on
the federal government and the security
agencies to sabotage the amnesty
programme and also blame the All
Progressives Congress (APC) in the state
for working against the programme.
